 My name is Joe McMahon. I was the Head Equipment Manager for the New York Islanders in the NHL. I know first hand how important it is to have the right equipment. My son Joseph plays Tier I travel baseball for the Ronkonkoma Cardinals in Long Island, New York. He has been playing travel baseball since he was 7 years old.
We first started using Mattingly bats about 2 years ago. We noticed an instant change in his game. He always struggled with his hand placement. The V-Grip technology corrected this instantly. His batting average jumped up considerably along with his confidence.

 Our team, the Fort Smith Titans just entered our first tourney and won it this weekend with the help of V-Grip bats!
We pounded the ball well scoring over 50 runs and allowing less than 10 over the course of 2 days. We had several coaches and players from other teams come ask us about our V-Grip bats. It was great to share how great the V-grip is for hitting with even more folks!

 My name is Tyler Bosetti, my friends call me T-Bo. I am 10 years old and live in Vacaville, Ca. Baseball is my favorite sport and I love playing it. I play little league as well as Travel Ball. Our Travel Ball team is the U11 Bulldog Baseball Club. Our team is very good and I mostly play shortstop and pitch. I am the lead-off hitter for the team and I love hitting with my Mattingly Beast Unleashed. The V-grip handle makes sure my knuckles are lined up on every swing. I love hitting with the Beast because it has great "POP" and I can drive the ball all over the field. I am also using the Mattingly Training bat, 28 inch 34 ounce. It helps me during batting practice because it helps me build strength. All of my team mates on the Bulldogs are now using the training bat during batting practice. They use it becaues it helps them get stronger and hit the ball a lot harder.
I enjoy playing baseball all the time and it is my dream to become a professional baseball player. I would recommend to anybody who is serious about playing baseball to give the V-Grip Mattingly Baseball bats a try, because if you do you will not use anything else. See you at the ballfield!

 2009 Pitch Hit & Run National Finalist w/ the BEAST Unleashed!
Chas competed as 1 of 3 National Finalists (9 & 10 yr old Division) in St. Louis on-field before the 2009 MLB All-Star Game Home Run Derby.
Chas took 2nd place in total points and set a new distance record in the Hitting Competition with a 219ft shot!

 "It's hard to for me to put into words what Mattingly Sports has meant to my son and our teams in the past 2 years. We have 9 V-grips now. 7 are my sons and 2 are mine, as I still love to hit and get to play in a few leagues when time permits. Having played baseball thru college and being about the same age as Don Mattingly, it was easy to me to 'give the v-grip a try'.
My son was 10 and I noticed he tended to overgrip the bat. We'd talk about it, stop and correct, but after a few swings..that bad habit seemed to creep back.
When we ordered the first bats - it took me only a couple swings to 'feel it'! I couldn't BELIEVE IT. The change in my son's swing was immediate. Better yet, he understood for the first time how he needed to position his hands thru the swing - and that was just in the first evening.
In short order, he went from beating out grounders with his speed to hitting bombs almost right away. The increase in power was so dramatic that other kids on our team and their parents started asking questions. Some had thought they had other problems, but it's funny how many problems fixed themselves when the hand position became perfect thru the swing - something that is a given with the V-grip bats.
There are a ton of gimmick products out there now...I've bought a few. Our V-grips are the best investments we've made in the growth and development and joy of playing the great game of baseball."

I purchased a youth model, 30 in ash. My son has been training with a wood bat since he was 10, in fact he hits better with a wood than a metal composite. From his first swing off the tee, he loved it! On the first day in the cage, hitting off me, he centered more balls on a Mattingly bat, than ever.  "As both a Little League and competitive coach for over 10 years, one of the hardest things to teach young hitters is the concept of correct hand position in a baseball swing. I have struggled to find a drill or tool that effectively teaches this skill. With the Mattingly bat my search is over! In my book this is the ONLY way teach kids how to properly hold and swing a bat. Players at all levels are able to instantly correct hand position in as little as two to three sessions with a Mattingly bat.

In my 17 years experience of coaching and professional training, the V-Grip Bat is in my opinion the best bat I have ever seen. In my facility the players are amazed how comfortable the V-Grip feels and what it does for their swing. The ball just explodes off the Mattingly bats. When I first saw the bat, one of my main concerns was hitting the ball on the same side of the bat every time. What I have found is after players have taken literally thousands of swings they have experienced no denting and no loss of pop! I put the V-Grip in my players hands and immediately the bat takes over. Harder hits, faster bat speed and more line drives. It leads to more confidence, which every player needs, all because of the V-Grip. I only recommend one bat company now and thats Mattingly. Anyone wanting to be a better hitter instantly, must have the Mattingly V-Grip bat.

 "The team I manage is 11-year-olds. Last year we were Mid-Atlantic Regional Champions, reaching the Cal Ripken Baseball World Series. We've begun indoor hitting workouts, and I have every player use the training bat as part of the drills we do. The feedback is terrific. The grip, of course, is innovative and the kids seemed to like it immediately. There is no transition period with it, which is great. I very much like the overload concept of the heavier bat, but I believe it's effect is enhanced by the bat being shorter. It forces the kids to keep their front side closed and to stay on the ball longer. So I believe the training bat not only helps develop better bat speed, but also enhances the fundamental mechanics of hitting. We put the game bat to use for the first time recently, and it was a hit with just about everybody. Kids were comfortable with it right away. A couple of them were ready to get rid of their existing bats for the Mattingly bat after just one soft-toss session.
I'm looking forward to seeing the bats under more long-term use, and especially getting outside with the game bat, but I thought you'd be interested to know our initial impression of the bats has been overwhelmingly positive. I can definitely recommend them to other coaches and parents. "

 In my 13 years of coaching high school and college baseball the V-Grip Bat is in my opinion the best bat I have that I have used with any of my teams. We have been swinging many variations of the Mattingly metal bats since August 2006 and my players are amazed how comfortable the V-Grip feels and what it does for their swing. This has been an easy transition into the V-Grip metal bats for us because our players have been using the Mattingly V-Grip wood training bats for quite some time. The ball just seems to jump off the Mattingly metal bats with great pop. One of my main concerns when we first used the V-Grip was hitting the ball on the same side of the bat every time. What we have found is that after our players have taken hundreds and hundreds of swings we still have not seen any denting.

 We used the Mattingly bats in our cage hitting program last year and found them to be extremely useful in teaching proper swing mechanics.
