Note on Bat Alteration: Any physical alteration of a Mattingly bat by the owner or any third-party immediately voids the warranty and potentially violates Mattingly Sports intellectual property rights. Anyone who alters a bat, and any player who knowingly uses an altered bat, may be held liable for any injuries or damages that result from its use. All major sanctioning organizations ban the use of altered equipment in competition, and Mattingly Sports supports this position. Altering a bat or any other equipment to gain an unfair advantage is cheating, and in our opinion violates the spirit of competition that makes baseball and softball such an integral part of our communities.
