Don Mattingly
– Founder
Don will take an active role in promoting the company
and its products on a time-permitting basis. He is currently
the bench coach for the New York Yankees and remains
one of the most popular Yankees players of all time.
Don will provide overall guidance on new product introduction
using his own experience as well as his network of other
major league professionals.
Jim Wells – Founder
Jim was the driver behind patenting the V-Grip™
handle and will use his deep experience in the lumber
business to provide guidance and strategy for our wood
bats and the wood bat market.
Skip Shaw – Founder
/ President
Skip recently retired from Accenture, the global consulting
and outsourcing firm in which he was responsible for
its global Aerospace and Defense practice, as well as
its High Tech practice in the Eastern U.S. He has experience
in start-ups and in 2000 and 2001 served as the acting
COO of Exostar, a global B2B exchange for the Aerospace
industry founded by Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon
and BAESystems. He holds a BBA and an MBA from the University
of North Texas.
Jim Falco – CFO and VP of Back Office
operations
Jim recently retired from a 29-year career with Sikorsky
Aircraft rising from an accountant in the Cost Accounting
department up to the role of Chief Financial Officer
for the $ 2.5B corporation. Jim's expertise is in cost
accounting, eBusiness, business analysis, and financial
reporting. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
accounting from Quinnipiac University and an MS degree
in Management from MIT's Sloan School of Management.
Jim Larry – Director of Supply Chain
During a lengthy career with a leading Baseball company,
Jim's experience included “hands on” floor
supervision, high level budgeting, and scheduling and
costing for domestic and foreign operations including
company owned and contract work. His background also
includes negotiating cost for finished goods and value
added goods both domestically and internationally. Jim
is certified by APICS.
Chuck Smith – Director
of Research and Development
For a leading Baseball company Chuck served as the lead
Engineering Manager. His responsibilities included support
of all baseball/softball bat product design activity
through process development, manufacture of prototypes,
and design of components. He led numerous baseball/softball
bat development projects for the 2004, 2005, and 2006
seasons and implemented production process in China
manufacturing facility. Chuck holds a BS, Industrial
Engineering and an MBA from Tennessee Technological
University
Philip T. Dooley - Vice
President of Sales
Phil brings over 15 years of multi channel retail experience,
including brrick & mortar, electronic, e-commerce
and catalog to the team. Including roles with increasing
responsibility at Macy’s West/Federated Department
Store, HSN, and supply side experience with VF Imagewear/Vanity
Fair Corporation. While at VF, Phil managed all facets
of the NFL branded fanwear apparel business of over
$100M. While at HSN Phil pioneered and was Director
of the “NFL Shop only on HSN” and Sports,
his last position held at HSN was Vice President of
Cornerstone Brands, facilitating the $760M HSN acquisition
of five remote brand operations, including eleven catalog
titles and e-commerce retail web sites. Phil has a BS
degree in Management and Marketing from the University
of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Jo-Anne Dressendofer - Director
of Marketing
A leader in the launching of top Fortune 500 products
and services with an emphasis on taking companies with
little to no market share to market leaders, Dressendofer
has successfully launched numerous companies, products
and services for B-to-B and consumer markets. Her unfailing
strategic approach to branding and grabbing market-share
has led to large shareholder gains for companies such
as AT&T, IBM, Nabisco, Sony and Sharp. On a personal
note, baseball has deep roots in her family with cousin
Kirk Dressendorfer a former pitcher for the Oakland
A's.
